I'm so excited to be starting something new, I call it the "My Perfect Fantasy Series" and it will showcase what I have fantasized the perfect day may be in the places I've always wanted to visit. In this case, Annecy, France is first up. I've been to France before but not to this little gem, and I'm aching to go there soon!
No, I am STILL not fluent. But that is going to change because I'm going to immerse myself in the culture, more on that in a later post.
Anywho, let's get started.
- Annecy -
Also known as Little Venice, it is THE place for romance (as I am quite the romantic), and I imagine barefoot picnics.
- Colmar -
This colorful town is the Alsatian wine capital and also known as one of France's "little venices". Colmar is full of brightly-colored houses, bright flower-lined canals, and a fairytale-like atmosphere. You can take a canoe trip through the canals of Colmar.
- Dinan -
The prettiest town in Brittany! This is the title Dinan holds until now. A medieval town on a hilltop overseeing the river of Rance, Dinan is surrounded with long ramparts or walls, Tudor type houses, port, cobbled streets, art galleries, and shops.
- Monte carlo -
Probably the most opulent city of the list. I really want to visit for the high end but fast paced nature of the city. It is such a luxuriously beautiful place in general.
I simple melt at the idea of a barefoot picnic with simple but delicious treats on a sunny day near a river or a in a grassy field with poppies and tulips.
La Musique 🎵
This is the perfect song isn't it? (Give it a few seconds to play)
And there you have it, that's the where, the what and the how! I quite enjoyed writing this post so I will definitely keep up this series from time to time.
Au revoir mes amis!
